Dr Carolina Jackson

Dr Carolina has a great passion for treating the whole family - kids and adults. As a mother of two young daughters, she understands the importance of being gentle, caring and making every experience fun and relaxing for kids. That's why she created Little Smiles Family Dental - a dental practice that makes it fun for kids.
Dr Carolina first graduated with a Bachelor of Dentistry in 1998 in her native country, Brazil. She gained years of experience in all areas of general dentistry and had her own practice. In 2005, Dr Carolina moved to Australia and further studied dentistry at the University of Melbourne, where she also worked to gain further invaluable experience in the very latest dental techniques including Invisalign treatment and Implants.
A member of the Australian Dental Association, Dr Carolina has a strong commitment to furthering education, regularly attending leading dental conferences around the world and networking with the industry's best practitioners.
Dr Carolina is fluent in English, Portuguese and communicates well in Spanish.
Associate Professor Angus Cameron

Specialist in Paediatric Dentistry
Angus Cameron is one of the foremost paediatric dentists in Australia. He was the first to graduate in NSW as a specialist in paediatric dentistry and has worked at Westmead Hospital for over 30 years. He has worked in both public and private sectors and was head of the Department of Paediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics at Westmead for the last 18 years and was also a Visiting Senior Specialist at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead.
He is currently Clinical Associate Professor and Head of Paediatric Dentistry at the University of Sydney and holds teaching appointments at the University of Newcastle, Charles Sturt University and the University of Leeds.
His main interests are in the management of children with dental anomalies, paediatric oral medicine, trauma in children and he has a particular interest in those children with special needs. Angus also runs a clinic specialising in infant feeding and tongue ties- Sydney Tongue Tie Clinic.
Patients of Little Smiles Family Dental can access the considerable expertise of Associate Professor Cameron conveniently at our surgery in Mona Vale where he visits on selected Mondays Tuesdays and Thursdays. Currently Professor Cameron operates from a number of private hospitals including NSSH, Pittwater Day Surgery & Brisbane Waters.
Dr Eduarda Brandao
BDS (Brazil) ADC
Eduarda prides herself in providing high quality dental care to her patients ranging from children to adults. She creates a comfortable and calming atmosphere for her patients and does so through her gentle and compassionate nature.
Eduarda enjoys learning about new advancements within the dental industry and how they will provide an improved patient experience.
During her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and is often found at the beach playing volleyball.
Dr Sakshi Garg
BDS (India) ADC
Dr Sakshi began her journey as a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from India and then continued on to complete her Dentistry Accreditation with Australian Dental Council (ADC). Over the years her passion in dentistry has only grown and she has a special interest in restorative and cosmetic dental procedures.
She has been working in private practises on all aspects of general dentistry and is well regarded amongst her patients for her calm demeanour, attention to detail and gentle & compassionate nature.
She has a pronounced dedication to Continued Professional Education to bring about continuous improvements in her patients’ care.
In her spare time, Sakshi likes to read, enjoys cooking for friends and family and has a keen interest in photography and travelling.
Dr Harriette Slatyer
B.App Sc (DR) USYD, BDS CSU
After studying Radiography at the University of Sydney and working at major public Sydney hospitals, Harriette completed Dentistry at Charles Sturt University in Orange, where she enjoyed five academically successful years.
Harriette thoroughly enjoyed her time treating patients in rural NSW including Orange, Bathurst, Brewarrina and Port Macquarie. From her time in these private and public settings, she has been lucky enough to gain comprehensive experience in all areas of dentistry.
Since graduating Harriette continues to remain dedicated to continuing professional development and keeps up-to-date with current evidence-based practice.
Harriette enjoys building rapport and developing relationships with all her patients. She endeavours to make their visit to the dentist relaxed and personalised. She places a high level of importance on the concerns of each person and applies a holistic and preventative approach. Harriette’s goal is to empower patients to have a better understanding of their oral health.
Outside dentistry Harriette enjoys being active outdoors and testing new recipes for her family and friends.

Oral Health Therapist
Rachel is university trained as an Oral Health Therapist and has also completed an Adult Scope course at the University of Sydney. This means she has a dual qualification; in Dental Therapy and Dental Hygiene and can treat all members of the family, providing dental cleaning and fillings for patients of all ages and also performs extractions and nerve treatment on children under 18 years of age. Rachel is also qualified to provide in chair or take home whitening advice as well as managing your Invisalign case.
Rachel loves working for Little Smiles and has since 2017, she enjoys seeing your oral health improvement over time, and finds fulfillment in knowing that she helped you along the way. Rachel is gentle and tailors the appointment to your families needs.
In her spare time Rachel, enjoys cooking and playing at the beach with her family. Rachel will be going on maternity leave in winter 2021.
Oral Health Therapist
Nafeena completed B.Med.Sc and BOH at the University of Sydney she has also completed the Adult Scope course at the University of Sydney.
The BOH and Adult Scope program dual qualifies her to practice dental hygiene and fillings on patients of all ages, extractions and nerve treatment on children up to the age of 18yrs, allowing her to treat the whole family. Nafeena is qualified in providing whitening advice and services in chair or take home as well as managing Invisalign cases.
Nafeena is very calm, dedicated and a wonderfully enthusiastic clinician who will help you achieve optimum oral health outcomes by providing tailored treatment plans to meet your needs. Her cheerful personality helps make your kids visit to the dentist fun.
In her spare time Nafeena is undertaking a Masters in Philosophy (Dentistry) conducting research on dental diseases and its impact on maternal health. Nafeena also loves to spend time with her friends and family, draw and travel to new countries.
Oral Health Therapist
Dr Michael Chen
Dr Michael Chen graduated from The University of Sydney in 1993, obtaining a Bachelor of Dental Surgery. Since then, Michael has worked in a variety of dental settings including public health, health fund centres and private practices. Early on, he limited his practice to the field of Oral Surgery and he still holds a staff position in the Oral Surgery Department of Sydney Dental Hospital.
As of 2019 Dr Michael Chen has been a visiting specialist at Little Smiles. His services include wisdom teeth removal, difficult extractions and minor soft tissue surgery. For anxious patients, procedures can be performed under intravenous sedation or general anaesthetic at Pittwater Day Surgery. Dr Chen visits Little Smiles on selected Tuesdays.
